Exterior Painting in Brantford

Brantford's trusted exterior painting crew.

An exterior repaint is as much about protection as it is about looks. Sun, freeze-thaw cycles and lake-effect weather are hard on siding, trim and wood, and the only paint job that lasts is one with proper prep underneath it. Windfeld Painting washes, scrapes, sands, fills and primes before any colour goes on, then uses premium exterior coatings made for Canadian conditions.

We paint homes across Brantford, Paris, St. George, Burford, Waterford, Ancaster and the surrounding countryside, from century homes on old village streets to new builds on the edge of town.

Good to know

Straight answers before you book.

  • Exterior painting season in Southern Ontario typically runs from late spring to mid autumn, when temperatures stay above about 10 degrees overnight.
  • Good prep is most of the job. Paint over chalky, dirty or peeling surfaces fails early no matter how good the product is.
  • We will tell you if a surface is better stained than painted, or if a repair should come before a repaint.
  • Book early. Spring and summer slots fill up quickly, and a quote in winter locks in your place in the schedule.

Questions

Exterior Painting FAQ.

When is the best time to paint a house exterior in Ontario?

Late spring through early autumn. Paint needs mild temperatures, low humidity and a few dry days to cure properly. We book exteriors from roughly May to October and schedule around the forecast.

How long does exterior paint last?

With proper prep and a quality exterior coating, most homes go eight to twelve years before they need a full repaint. Trim, doors and south-facing surfaces may need touch-ups sooner.

Do you power wash before painting?

Yes. Washing removes dirt, chalk and mildew so the new paint bonds properly. It is the first step on every exterior job.

Can you paint vinyl or aluminum siding?

Yes. Both can be painted with the right primer and a coating designed for the material. We will recommend colours that will not cause vinyl to warp in the sun.

Do you paint decks and fences?

We do. Most decks are stained rather than painted so the wood can breathe, and we will recommend the right finish for yours.
